🏅🐷 Adams Elementary Students Strike Gold in Reading! 🐷🏅 We are so proud of our amazing Adams Eagles for reaching the GOLD level in our Olympic Reading Challenge! Our students put in a ton of time reading and their hard work paid off in a big way. As promised, Mr. Sanders and Mrs. Burns held up their end of the deal… and kissed a pig! 🐷 Other staff members were silly stringed and even pied in the face. It was a fun way to celebrate a huge accomplishment and the students loved every minute of it. Thank you to our incredible staff for being such great sports and helping make reading fun and memorable for our students. And most importantly, congratulations to our students for all the reading, effort, and perseverance. We are proud of you!

Mr. Sanders and Mrs. Burns caused some March Madness chaos. The faculty and staff enjoyed a minute-to-win-it tournament of shooting hoops. Congratulations to Mr. White!

Today we want to give a big shout out to some amazing Adams Eagles who chose to spend their time serving others and taking care of our school by helping clean up the playground.

These students showed what it means to take pride in our school, work together, and make a difference through simple acts of service. Because of their hard work, our playground looks great and is a better place for everyone to play and learn.

We are so proud of these students for being leaders, showing responsibility, and giving their time to help others. Service matters, leadership matters, and these students set a great example for all of us.

Way to go, Adams Eagles! 👏🦅

Congratulations to our school choir! They performed for our student body at an assembly and again their families and did an amazing job! Thank you to Ms Bascom, Ms Cooper, and Mr Meldrum for supporting our choir this year!

All three students from Adams Elementary participated in the district semi-final spelling bee 🐝 (Benner in 6th grade, Michael in 4th grade, and Maxwell in 5th grade) made it into the district finals! EAGLES SOAR! 🦅

The votes are in! Bring anything BUT a backpack on Friday, March 27th. We want you to get creative but please be mindful. Only bring what you can carry and will be safe for you and others!

Thank you Layton City Fire and The Layton High Lite Team for a fun assembly on fire safety and how to be a hero! Our kids walked away with great skills to be more positive, helpful, and thoughtful in their daily interactions.

Adams had some special authors visit today and share their story, The Bigs Brothers: The Blame Game. Thank you, Dave and Teresa Carlson!

Eagles won the gold! Way to read and reach for your goals. This means a pig will be visiting Adams sometime soon. Stay tuned!

Way to read Adams Eagles! We read 160,000 minutes last week, which earned us the bronze medal! Keep going for the gold! We have one more week to reach 480,000 minutes.

Congratulations to all of the students who participated in our Spelling Bee today! It takes courage and dedication, and we are proud of all the students who participated. Congratulations to our three finalist who will be participating in the North End Spelling Bee! Special thanks to Mrs. Luoma, Mr. Gonzales, Ms. Ulm, Ms. Nye, Mrs. Boshell, Mrs. Gibson, and Mr. White for all their efforts in making it a successful event!

This week we had a WHOLE CLASS referred to the office for positive behavior. We are so proud Ms. Nye's class and their behavior when they had a substitute. The sub reported that they were all "fantastic, respectful, and on task!" We're so grateful for substitutes and for our students welcoming her and showing her Eagle pride!

Our 5th graders had an incredible time at Junior Achievement yesterday! They explored real-world skills like budgeting, careers, and financial decision-making through hands-on experiences that brought learning to life. We’re so proud of how engaged, responsible, and thoughtful they were throughout the day. Thank you to Junior Achievement and our volunteers for making it such a meaningful experience for our students! #DiveIntoLearning

Our amazing kindergarten teachers celebrated 100 days of school with their adorable students yesterday. So many dressed up like they were 100 years old! What a fun day for all as they celebrated their work so far this year!

Our first graders had a paws-itively fun 101st Day of School! 🐾 Dressed as Dalmatians, they enjoyed a day full of fun learning activities and celebrations. We love seeing how much they’ve grown!

Today we have a shout out for Mrs. Porter - this parent said, "Mrs. Porter has been an incredible impact on our family this year. My son has struggled with some behavioral challenges, and I was very nervous about sending him to school. From day one, she has never once made him feel different. Instead, she has met him with patience, understanding, and genuine care. She makes him feel seen, welcomed, and valued every single day. From being nervous to go to school, to now looking forward to it every single day and being so excited to tell Mrs. Porter all the things that excite and make him happy! She has also been amazing with communication, always keeping me informed and helping me understand how I can best support him at home. Because of her, I feel like we are truly a team working together for my child. She has brought so much peace to what was an anxious and emotional season for me as a mom. I can honestly say she has been heaven sent for our family, and I am beyond grateful for the love and dedication she pours into her students every day."
