May 19th we celebrated something truly powerful—perseverance, courage, and determination.
Our Davis Adult Education graduates represented a wide range of backgrounds, stories, and life experiences. Many have faced significant challenges along the way—balancing work, family responsibilities, financial obstacles, language barriers, and competing priorities. For some, this journey was not their first attempt. It may have taken two, three, or even five tries to reach this moment.
But they didn’t give up.
They came back.
They showed resilience.
They worked hard—day after day—to achieve a goal that matters deeply: earning their adult high school diploma.
This accomplishment is more than a piece of paper. It represents:
A commitment to a better future
A step toward career advancement
A foundation for continuing education
A powerful example for their families and communities
These graduates are not defined by the obstacles they faced—but by their strength in overcoming them.
Tuesday, we honored their perseverance and celebrate the doors that are now open. Whether they continue their education, advance in the workforce, or pursue personal dreams, this is just the beginning.
