Davis School District is proud to recognize the custodians who keep our schools safe, clean and welcoming.
Custodians are often the first to arrive and the last to leave. They maintain facilities, support school events and lend a hand wherever needed—all while building meaningful relationships with students and staff.
The following messages of gratitude were shared by school administrators. While not all custodians are pictured or mentioned, Davis School District celebrates and appreciates every custodian across the district for their dedication and service.
At Bountiful Elementary School, Head Facility Manager Curtis Jackson was recognized for his leadership and care during the school’s transition into its new building. “Curtis played a key role in helping us move smoothly from the old building into our beautiful new one,” Principal Casey Pickett said. “He is calm, kind and always puts the needs of students and teachers first. We are so grateful for the care and dedication he brings to Bountiful Elementary every single day.”
Pickett also expressed gratitude for Ryan Kay, the district’s custodial coordinator. “We have depended on him throughout this move, and his steady support has made all of our lives better,” Pickett said. “We appreciate the time, effort and heart he has given to make this transition successful.”
The Davis Catalyst Center praised Rick Walker and Taylar Roth, who handle the facility’s unique demands with skill and consistency. “With all the tours, visits, rentals and unique educational needs of our building, their jobs are different every day,” Director Tim Allen said. “We couldn’t do this without them.”
Cook Elementary School recognized longtime Facilities Manager Nathan Teasdale. “He has seen a lot of changes here and rolled with each new challenge that has come his way,” Principal Elizabeth Jensen said. “Nathan is always willing to help with extra school needs. We are grateful to have such a dedicated Facilities Manager here at Cook Elementary.”

A special thank you was extended to Facilities Manager Sheree Stettler, who “works tirelessly to make sure everything runs smoothly and the building stays clean, safe and welcoming,” Principal Brittany Brimhall said.
At Horizon Junior High School, appreciation was given to Facility Manager Alanna Ricketts, who played a key role in preparing the new building for students. “Alanna knows this building more than the contractors do,” Principal Brett Sims said.
